Our Story

At Bonds Swimming, our mission started with a commitment to providing exceptional Burleson swim lessons for families. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, we have become a trusted program for developing smart swimmers in your family. 


All our classes are taught by Owners David & Barrett Bonds. Coach David began teaching swim in 1988, while Mrs. Barrett started in 1976. The Bonds take delight in watching a child transform into a smart and happy swimmer. Our technique emphasizes the importance of water safety, teaching children to 'if they fall, swim back to the wall.' Each lesson includes essential water and pool safety measures, as well as techniques like elementary backstroke, swim and roll, and the four competitive strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle.

Bonds Swimming is renowned for excellence, offering personalized swim instruction for adults and children for over 40 years. With decades of expertise, Barrett Bonds sets a rare standard in teaching that remains unmatched in today's world. If your goal is to nurture your child’s confidence through Burleson swim lessons, impart essential water safety skills, and cultivate a genuine love for swimming, you have arrived at the perfect place for Mansfield swim lessons and swim lessons in the South DFW area. Barrett Bonds is a proud member of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance, the America Swim Coaches Association, and was inducted into the Arkansas Swimming Hall of Fame in 2011, as well as being affiliated with the Texas Water Safety Coalition.

Developing Smart, Happy Swimmers in the South DFW Area!  


Summer '25  


We offer exceptional Burleson swim lessons through small group formats, ensuring just 2-4 students per class. This guarantees personalized attention from your instructor, Mrs. Barrett or Coach David. Each session consists of 8 engaging, 30-minute lessons, making it ideal for steady progress and fun learning as your child learns to swim.  


At our location, the tuition is $340 per student for the full 8-lesson session, providing great value for high-quality instruction tailored to your swimmer's needs. Our small groups create a supportive environment, helping students thrive while building essential swim skills and promoting water safety.

We also offer private swim lessons at your home or ours, as well as group lessons at your location. These include 8 thirty-minute lessons for a tuition of $1,250.oo, which can be split with friends.
